Healing is a lot like baseball. When you first start, it is so new to you and you have no idea what you are doing, but you just hope your coach (God) will help you to learn. When you become good at baseball, or at approaching people and talking to them about God and praying for them, you are high on life. You can hit the ball well, and when you touch people, they are healed. However, when you are in a slump, and you cannot hit the ball, and healing does not come, you CANNOT get discouraged. For baseball, if you get discouraged, you will change your stance and warm up, for healing, you might change what you believe because God did not heal that person. If you change your stance in baseball, you will mess us what you have worked for, and for healing if you change your beliefs, your relationship with God is hurt. You have to just keep swinging and keep praying. YOU WILL SEE BREAKTHROUGH. You will hit the ball again and God will heal through you. Perseverance is key. Have faith that God is with you and that He does heal. It is a test of faith when healing does not come. Many people think the Devil blocks healing, but in reality, the devil has no power unless we give him power. The Devil does not block healing. He can’t. The only thing the Devil can do is when healing does not happen, he can step in and say, “Hey, God didn’t heal that person, he must not even be real, and you just made up all the other healings that happened too. God isn’t even with you.” He wants to make you feel depressed and not thank God. After every prayer for healing, always thank God for his works and ways because we know He is perfect and good and He would never do anything to hurt His children. God’s ways are much higher than ours, so when healing does not come, we know we just have to keep getting deeper. Thank Him for that. And when it does come, thank Him the same. The devil can only step in if we let him. Don’t let him.
