It was about 11:00PM on a weeknight and I was trying to study for my Geography class. I was getting distracted because I kept thinking about my lack of faith and how I always would fail at healing. I was tired of not believing with all my heart so I decided to look up stories, testimonies, and teachings online. I first looked up Bill Johnson, then Tom Loud. They both taught me amazing things. Bill Johnson talked about faith and understanding while Tom shared about the power God has given us. Loud heals people and puts it on YouTube, so I watched those videos. I came across a teaching that totally wrecked me. It was that Jesus, our God, came down to the earth He created, proceeded to teach us, and when many did not listen, died for us on the cross at the hands of the people He created and loves. He then rose from the dead with the power of the Holy Spirit. He rose from the dead. The dead. That is impossible. No one can do that. No one could but Him. But now….now, we can do all things He did. We have that power because He lives inside us. When I realized that God gave me this power, I started crying and laughing and just rejoicing. Then after I realized I had just received a revelation, I knew I had to explore it. I ran out into the hallway, keep in mind it is 11:30PM by now. I told God I would pray for the next person I saw. A kid came out of the bathroom and I grabbed him really quick. I told him about my revelation and asked if he had anything Jesus could heal. He had a hurt lower back, so I put my hands on his back and said the words I had seen Tom Loud say. I said, “Dear Lord, I thank you for Noah, I know that you want to heal him, and that you love him so much. Right now, I command this pain to be gone in Jesus’ name.” After I took my hands off, I asked him to try it out. He moved his back around and told me the pain was totally gone. I got so excited and started telling him all about the amazing being that just healed him. He was intrigued. I then saw another kid come out of the bathroom. I asked him if he had any pain in his body. He said he had a “split tooth” or something. I told him that I was going to pray for him and then did. I said about the same words as before when I prayed. I put my hands on his face and prayed for his tooth. I asked him what his pain was, he said it went down a little bit. I told him that was ok, and that sometimes you have to pray twice. So, then I prayed again. This time he said all of his pain was gone. This time I knew that this stuff was real. I explained to him about Jesus and everything until he said he needed to go to bed. I prayed and thanked God, then started off again to look for more people to pray for. I found a girl who had broken her back a while ago, but now still had problems. I prayed for her back, and she said that she would check it in the morning. Another guy came down the hallway and I grabbed him quick. He said he didn’t really believe in God and he didn’t have any pain. I moved on after telling him God loves him anyway. I met a kid who had torn his shoulder in hockey. I prayed for him and he said he felt a tingling in his shoulder. I told him that feeling was God who wants to heal him, and he was in the process of healing. I told him that the next time that he wanted to check a kid in hockey, he should have faith and just do it. He told me ok and as I was saying goodnight to him, another kid came walking along. I told him to come over to us. He walked over and asked what was going on. His name was Brad and he had three root canals that had been giving him pain for two years now. He said he could not drink water or breathe in cold air because it would burn his teeth. I told him not to worry about it anymore, and that this other guy with the torn shoulder was healed or healing. I prayed for Brad and immediately his facial expression changed. He quickly ran over to the water fountain and drank a bunch. He looked up at me and asked, “What did you do?” I just looked at him and said, “Bro, it’s Jesus.” He was just like, “Dude, you must have done something.” I love when people say this because I get to tell him how much God loves him and that Jesus is working through me, I am just the vessel, God is doing the work. Brad ran to his room and grabbed a cold water and chugged it. His roommate was so surprised because Brad is always complaining about his teeth hurting. After Brad I kept going around and healing, but it mostly died down after that. Most people rejected my prayer or said they had nothing wrong with them. That night totally changed my life. Now everywhere I go, I am constantly asking God where He wants me to go to spread His Word. It has changed the way I see people as well. Healing people is not so we can see a miracle or supernatural occurrence. It is so that people can see God’s love working inside their body, and so they can start a relationship with Him. God is showing them His love through us. Everyone is my brothers and sisters in Christ. When you look at people this way, lust, hatred, and jealousy disappears. Everything changes once you realize that God, the creator of everything, and Jesus, the son of God, lives inside you. He loves you so much that He died at our hands to save us. That’s the biggest conflict of interest imaginable. But that’s how much He loves us.
